Self-Employment Visa for Indian Citizens – Germany
Indian citizens can apply for a self-employment visa under Section 21 of the German Residence Act if:
- •There is an economic interest or regional need for the business
- •The business has a positive impact on the German economy
- •The applicant has sufficient personal capital or financing
Required Documents
- •Valid passport (issued within the last 10 years, with at least two empty pages)
- •Visa application form and declaration (Section 54 Residence Act) (2 copies)
- •Copy of passport's data page (A4 size) (2 copies)
- •Curriculum vitae (2 copies)
- •Proof of qualification (degree, certificates, reference letters) (2 copies)
- •Business plan (2 copies) covering concept, financing, revenue forecast, market analysis, and expected employees (if applicable)
- •Proof of available capital (2 copies)
- •Company-related documents (if applicable): commercial register extract, business registration, employment contract of managing director
- •Additional supporting documents (if applicable): rental contract, proof of business relations, education history in Germany
- •Proof of financial means for at least one year
- •Health insurance (public German or private foreign meeting German requirements)
- •Applicants 45 years or older: proof of retirement benefits (pension or assets)
- •Three biometric passport photos (not older than six months)
- •Visa fee: €75 (payable in INR)
