Processing & Waiting Times
- •Due to high demand, longer waiting times apply for both appointments and visa processing
- •Book an appointment early via VFS Global: VFS Global
- •Processing starts only when the application reaches the Consulate, which may take up to 6 working days due to delivery and public holidays
- •Current processing time is about 15 days after reaching the Consulate
- •If your travel date is within two weeks, consider postponing, as expedited processing is not possible
Appointment Booking
- •Schengen visa applications can be submitted at any VFS Visa Centre in India, regardless of residence
- •If your nearest VFS Centre is fully booked, check for available appointments in other major Indian cities
- •This flexibility does not apply to national visas (D visas) for study, employment, or family reunion
